Pico Crossings, Los Angeles, California

Pico Crossings, Los Angeles, California

A 518,800 square foot development project located on the corner of San Vicente and Pico Boulevards in West Central Los Angeles. Midtown Plaza was ranked as one of the few remaining undeveloped properties in its area which meets the size and location requirements of large retail tenants attempting to enter into urban markets. As owner of the land, Mr Kushnir led the entitlement and design process since 1997 and sold a majority stake to CIM Group, the development arm of the CALPERS Fund.

San Fernando Valley Residential Projects

In the mid-1980’s, Mr. Kushnir built three residential projects in the San Fernando Valley area, California, USA. The Tampa Properties project consisted of 35 townhouses, the Van Nuys project included 40 apartment units, and the Calvin Valerijo project was a construction of 80 townhouses.

Acquired & Retrofit Sears Building, LA, California, USA

In 1987, Mr. Kushnir acquired the Sears Building on Pico Blvd. in Los Angeles from Alexander Hagan Properties. The building was retrofit and leased to Builders Discount.

GemCo Lease, Remodeling, Simi Valley, California, USA

Mr. Kushnir acquired GemCo Lease in Simi Valley, California, from Alexander Hagan Properties. The building was remodeled and the lease was sold to Von’s Supermarkets.

Alico House, Nairobi, Kenya

Alico House, Nairobi, Kenya

Mr. Kushnir led the development of Alico House Nairobi, a 140,000 sq.ft. office building. The project was carried out for American Life Insurance Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AIG, later acquired by CFC Bank. The total cost of the project was 25 million USD.
